About
Formed in Austin, Texas, in 2004, The Black Angels have become standard-bearers for modern neo-psychedelia and garage rock. Taking their name from the Velvet Underground’s \"The Black Angel’s Death Song,\" the group is renowned for dark tones, fuzzy dirges, and their role as co-founders of the Reverberation Appreciation Society and the Levitation festival.
The band’s music has been featured extensively across film and television, as well as in video games like The Last of Us Part II and Grand Theft Auto V. Their latest work, 2022's Wilderness of Mirrors, continues to showcase their signature psychedelic sound while addressing contemporary societal themes.
