Vinyl Brunch w/ Jewel Loree

KEXP DJ and host of Astral Plane spinning psychedelic and kaleidoscopic sounds.

Jewel is a Seattle-based DJ, multi-instrumentalist, and KEXP host known for her deep dives into psychedelic sounds. Her musical background spans from playing bass in the surf-rock outfit Golden Idols and blues-rock duo The Grizzled Mighty to her own psychedelic dream pop project, Frond.

As the host of KEXP’s Astral Plane, Jewel curates a "kaleidoscopic world of sound," drawing from genres as diverse as modal jazz, Afrobeat, and mid-aughts indie sleaze. Her selections often lean into the atmospheric, favoring reverb-drenched vocals and guitar delay that foster inward-looking musical journeys.
