CASI

A raw, genre-destroying rush of hip-hop, hardcore, emo, and nü metal.

The electrifying duo Casi brings together Eli Edwards of the indie rock band Enumclaw with his childhood friend Xayvien Young. Formed in Spanaway, Washington, a Tacoma suburb, the pair reunited creatively when Edwards began traveling back from his new home in Los Angeles to collaborate with Young. Their partnership represents a significant sonic shift from Edwards' previous indie rock work, instead embracing a raw, boundary-skipping energy.

Casi’s music deliberately dismantles genre lines, fusing elements of hip-hop, hardcore, nü metal, and emo. Their self-titled debut album, released via Carpark Records, explores themes of dislocation, identity, and the realities of coming of age. From mosh-ready anthems like "JUMPER" to melodic, vulnerable closers like "BRIDGES," the duo crafts a breathless composite of their diverse musical influences, delivering stories that are at once humorous, loud, and painfully honest.
