Naked Giants are a Seattle-based rock trio formed in 2014, consisting of guitarist Grant Mullen, bassist Gianni Aiello, and drummer Henry LaVallee. The group emerged from the local scene after Mullen and LaVallee, childhood friends, recruited Aiello following a chance encounter at the Crocodile cafe. Known for an energetic sound that spans psychedelic rock, post-punk, and grunge, the band gained significant attention following their 2016 EP R.I.P. and a series of high-profile tours. The band's debut full-length, SLUFF (2018), produced by Steve Fisk, established their reputation for eclectic, loud rock music. They further expanded their reach by joining Car Seat Headrest as part of their expanded seven-piece touring ensemble for several years. Their follow-up LP, The Shadow (2020), continued their exploration of diverse sonic textures while maintaining the frantic, infectious energy of their live performances.
