About
Formed in Seattle by Nathan Rodriguez, Liam Downey, and Jeannine Koewler, So Pitted emerged from a prolific DIY background, reportedly having written and discarded hundreds of songs before their debut. The trio crafts a dense, discordant sound that avoids typical rock structures, favoring murky textures and rhythmic intensity.
Their debut album, neo, showcases a volatile blend of feedback-drenched guitar and dual vocalists who trade off between frantic shouting and heavy, low-end groans. The band's approach is defined by a sense of sonic claustrophobia and a commitment to raw, experimental aggression.
