The Intelligence

Founded in 1999 by Lars Finberg, The Intelligence is a prolific post-punk and garage rock act that emerged from the Seattle underground. The project is celebrated for its evolution from grainy lo-fi home recordings to sophisticated studio productions, maintaining a restless creative energy across nearly a dozen studio albums.

Led by Finberg (a veteran of A Frames and Thee Oh Sees), the band features a rotating cast of collaborators, including members of The Shins and Thee Oh Sees. Their sound is defined by sharp wit and a diverse range of influences, from surf rock to new wave, earning them spots on stages alongside legendary acts like The Fall.
