Art d’Ecco is a Canadian indie rock singer-songwriter and producer known for a subversively catchy sound that blends glam rock, post-punk revival, and synth-pop. Based in Victoria, British Columbia, he gained attention for his signature androgynous aesthetic, often featuring a bob wig and heavy makeup, inspired by his fascination with artists who embrace a "weird" visual identity. After years of playing in various bands, he retreated to the Gulf Islands to care for his grandmother, where he wrote the material for his 2016 debut, Day Fevers. Since then, he has released several acclaimed albums on Paper Bag Records, including 2021’s In Standard Definition, which was recorded on a vintage analog console, and 2025’s Serene Demon, which earned a spot on the Polaris Music Prize longlist.
